Horse Racing is a sport at which Ireland excels; it is also a social occasion without equal and a very special ‘slice of Irish life’. Limerick Racecourse provides a state of the art venue in the heart of Munster for seasoned race goers and those new to the sport alike. The present course is built on the site of a stud farm 250 acres of which is occupied by the racecourse, this is the seventh venue for racing in Limerick dating back t0 1790.
