The style stakes were high at Limerick Racecourse as ladies gathered for the Sunway Holidays Best Dressed Lady on Wednesday last. Breda Butler from Thurles in Co. Tipperary walked away with the top prize of a holiday for two people to Lanzarote.
Breda, a teacher wowed the judges in a turquoise suit which was designed by Catriona Hanly. Her hat was custom made by Suzie Mahoney with gloves by Lisa Baker and shoes by Fabucci.
Grace Ryan, a training consultant from Limerick came second, winning a luxury hamper from Shannon Duty Free. Grace wore an ivory top by Chicwish and a long skirt which she made herself. Grace wore an ivory and leopard print hat by Laura Hanlon accessorized with a burgundy fur and bag from Penney’s.
Mamie Hayes from Castletroy, Limerick came third winning a €200 voucher for online accessory store, Fab Fillies. Mamie wore a houndstooth jacket from Born, a skirt from H&M and a stylish hat from No. 15 Maison de Curio in Limerick.
The ten finalists each received a voucher for Cork Boutique Phoenix V. The finalists included Niamh Killilea from Oranmore, Co. Galway, Margaret Hynes Cahill from Ardfert in Co. Kerry, Aisling Connolly from Kilmaganny, Co. Kilkenny, Colette McDonough from Ashbourne, Co. Meath, Fiona Glynn from Ballinasloe, Co. Galway and Tasha O’Connor from Templeglantine, Co. Limerick.
All Ladies enjoyed a mulled wine and mince pie reception in the exclusive Ladies Day Private Suite on level 3 where the judges Sharon Kennedy and Jean Sheahan from Fashion Blog, Love 4 Fashion had the tough job of picking a winner.
