4 bars, Restaurant and Supermacs take away restaurant. Spin Southwest Radio shall be broadcasting live on the day with DJ Colm O'Sullivan & the Spinnis. Price per ticket is only €5.00 and tickets available in a number of student unions
Pre-racing entertainment to include Rodeo Bull and Sumo suit party games.
SPIN South West shall be judging their annual best dressed in pink competition and the winners will receive tickets to see "The Saturdays" live concert in Thurles in June.
The legendary Captain Morgan and his Morganettes will be bringing the party spirit to the races this year. Anyone familiar with Captain Morgan knows of his famous one-legged stance called ‘the Captain’s pose’. Captain and his Morganettes are asking race-goers to join them in an attempt to break a world record for ‘Most People Standing On One Leg Simultaneously’ which was set last February in the USA. The world record attempt will take place in front of the main stand at 6pm and there will be €400 worth of cash prizes for the six best male and female ‘posers’, as judged by the Captain. Everyone who participates will also receive Captain Morgan’s signature Captain hat as a memento of the record attempt.

How do I get to Limerick Racecourse?

Travelling from locations in Ireland - GPS: N 52.59045 W 008.69632

Limerick racecourse is located 6 miles south of Limerick City on the M20. We are located on the Annacotty to Adare bypass system that connects us to the main route to Dublin, Cork, Killarney and Shannon airport.

What time should I arrive?

It is advisable to arrive at least one hour before the advertised time of the first race. Turnstiles open approximately two hours before the first race on each race day.

What facilities are there for the disabled?

Limerick Racecourse is fully equipped for people with disabilities. There is a ramp access to the main stand and 2 lifts for access to each floor. WC Facilities are available on each floor. There is also reserved car parking for the disabled.

Do I need to pre-book an adult admission ticket?

No. Admission can be paid on the day through the turnstiles but if you have a large group please give us a call prior to race day.

Is there a discount for students and O.A.P.’s?

All O.A.P.’s and students are admitted at the discounted rate with proof of a current ID at the turnstiles.

Is there a charge for children?

Children under 16 years are admitted FREE of charge to Limerick Racecourse (I.D. will be required at the turnstiles for proof of age).

Can I hire binoculars?

Binoculars can be hired from the Information Office at a cost of €10 per race day.

Are there ATM Facilities available?

No, but cash back facilities are available in the Munster Suite of the Hugh McMahon stand.

Is there medical staff at Limerick Racecourse?

Order of Malta personnel will be in attendance throughout the Races and are happy to help assist with any medical needs. They may be found in the First Aid Room beside the Stables. The racecourse doctor is in attendance on all race days.

What facilities are there at Limerick Racecourse for eating and drinking?

There are numerous restaurants and bars in the Hugh McMahon Stand. Please browse our Hospitality page for more information.

Where can I place a bet at Limerick Racecourse?

Tote facilities are available in the Hugh McMahon stand on all levels. Touch-tote facilities are also available at these locations. Ladbrokes Betting Facility is in the Tote Hall on the ground floor. You will find details of how to place a bet in your race card.

Is there a dress code at Limerick Racecourse?

There is no dress code for Limerick Racecourse.
